Head coach Creighton Henderson believes the Indians will be “bigger, faster and stronger” in 2026.
The Indians finished 6-5 overall and 4-2 in district in 2025, qualifying for the Class 2A Division II playoffs. Henderson points to team speed as Haskell’s biggest strength entering the season.
2025 season: Finished 6-5 overall, 4-2 in district; advanced to the Class 2A Division II playoffs.
Haskell returns 14 lettermen, including 6 offensive starters and 6 defensive starters.
Key offensive players:
- Haegen Pinkerton (Sr. QB/DB): Passed for 1,321 yards and 13 TDs while rushing for 1,767 yards and 22 TDs last season.
- Brazos Brendle (Sr. WR/DB): Recorded 27 receptions for 422 yards and 4 TDs.
- Ethan Camacho (Sr. RB/DB)
- Justus Smart (Jr. WR/DB)
Offensive line leaders: Gabriel Exiga (Sr. OL/DL), Colton Crosson (Jr. OL/DL), Aiden Reyna (Sr. OL/DL) and L.J. Castorena (Sr. OL/DL).
Defensive leaders:
- Beaux Shaginaw (Sr. TE/LB): Recorded 167 tackles and forced 3 fumbles in 2025.
- Brian Wang (Sr. TE/LB)
- Ethan Camacho (Sr. DB)
- Brazos Brendle (Sr. DB)
Team outlook: Haskell will lean on the dynamic playmaking ability of Pinkerton and the leadership of Shaginaw as the Indians seek another playoff berth. With six starters returning on both sides of the ball, Henderson expects the program’s experience and team speed to be major strengths.
Haskell moves into the new District 6-2A Division II, where it will face Electra, Munday, Petrolia, Seymour and Windthorst.
